Join the award-winning cake designer Lolade Ogunjimi of Dainty Affairs bakery for a five-day comprehensive course that combines technical instruction with discussion and demonstration in a nurturing and empowering environment

You will leave with a Skill Master Certificate to illustrate your achievements.

 Create a tiered design using both real and faux cake that includes:

  • Cake assembly and covering with buttercream and scrapple
  • Cake covering with fondant for neat and sharp edges
  • Build buds, stems and petals of the  Parrot tulip for an overall enchanting effect
  • Introduction to Wafer flowers and how to use it as flowers and decorative patterns for your cake design
  • Also, learn best practices in floral design and food safety as you arrange your sugar flowers around the cake.
  • Stack cakes together confidently
  • Learn the sure way to mask flaws in a beautiful way on your cakes to add your personality and style. Learn from discussions of topics that include:
    • Working with color: identifying warm/cool/neutral, matching Pantones, creating a palette
    • Meeting with clients: discussing design, preparing for a tasting, structuring the pricing
    • Presenting the design: photography tips.
  • The Last day of the Course will be a mentoring Session with Owner of Dainty Affairs Bakery  Lolade Ogunjimi, where she will speak on Structure building particularly as regards the Bakery Business here in Nigeria

  • Flower groove board
  • Balling tool for flower making
  • Rolling pins
  • Dowel Rod set 4 packs
  • Carving knife
  • Flower Foam Pad
  • Floral wire and floral tape 22″, 24″ & 18″
  • Copper or clear plastic tubing
  • Stamens
  • Tweezers
  • Needle Nose Pliers
  • Rolling pins (one large, one small)
  • Vegetable shortening
  • Small paintbrushes

  • Cakes for a 4 Tier Cakes {Un-iced}.
  • Fondant to cover all cakes
  • Buttercream
  • Cake board
  • Turn Table
  • Food Colour
