1.Scale, Measuring cups and Measuring spoons
Baking is a science and having ingredients measured out accurately is a very important step.
Need I say more, we all want one of these but frankly as simple as a Hand mixer will do the trick, but for efficiency and ease, a table mixer is ideal.
Mixing your butter and sugar till it’s really light and fluffy is the most important step for cake baking.
3. Baking pans
Coming in various shapes and sizes. The shape you want to buy 1st are the round pans in 6″ 8″ 10″ & 12″ . Then the square pans in 6″ 8″ 10″ & 12″. Cupcake pans are also ideal to have in your pantry. You increase on the sizes and shapes as your business grows.
4. Cooling Rack
You will need a number of these depending on how many cakes you will be baking.
Once the cakes are baked, you release them unto the cooling rack so they can air dry evenly from top to the bottom.
5. Silicone Spatula and Bowls
Essential for mixing and scraping barter from the sides of your bowl
6. Simple Syrup soaker bottle
Made popular by Yolanda of ” How-to-Cake-it”
This used to apply simple syrup evenly on your cakes to keep them moist especially if you make a lot of novelty cakes. It’s available in our baker’s mart HERE
7. The Lazy Susan
One of these or a Turn table just helps to move your cake comfortably without breaking once you start to work on your cooled cake.
8. Piping bags and nozzles
9. Spatula set.
Helps to evenly and easily apply butter cream or any type of frosting to the top and sides of your cake.

10. Rolling Pin
If you will be making fondant cakes, then this tool is very important. You need this to roll out your fondant evenly and flat enough to cover and decorate already creamed cake.
